Life

Follow you heart wherever it takes you,

And be happy.

Life is brief and very fragile, and only loaned

To us for awhile.

Wake up every morning with the thought

That something wonderful is about to happen.

- Remembering -

Go ahead mention my child

The one that died, you know

Don’t worry about hurting me further

The Depth of my pain doesn’t show.

Don’t worry about making me cry.

 I’m already crying inside.

Help me to heal by releasing the tears

  That I try to hide.

I’m hurt when you just keep silent,

  Pretending that it doesn’t exist.

I’d rather you mention my child,

Knowing that he has been missed.

You ask me how I’m doing I say,

“Pretty good” or “Fine.”

But healing is something on-going

I feel it will take a lifetime.

When I must  leave you for a little
while--please do not grieve and
shed wild tears and hug your sorrow
to you through the years, But start
out bravely with a with a gallant smile.
And for my sake and in my name live
on and do all things the same, Feed
not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each walking hour in useful
ways, Reach out your hand in comfort
and in cheer and I in turn will com-
fort you and hold you near;

And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
The sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
